Sometimes, when making grabby hands at shiny things you forget what shiny things are already in your pocket. Like, I’d totally forgotten I’d ordered from Universal Voodoo! Shame on me!
Apparently fate decided I needed to be reminded and pulled Sticky Fingers out of the proverbial hat. Which is apropos today as I’ve cleaned more stick finger prints off glass today than I have all month.
Sticky Fingers – Vanilla Cream, Marshmallow, Cotton Candy, Caramel
In the vial there is this gorgeous caramel scent. It’s buttery, smooth, milky, and just a touch smoky. It’s that melt in your mouth caramel that some people can’t get enough of. It reminds me of Werther’s Original – but if it were soft instead of hard.
On my skin this smokiness comes to the forefront and it’s an almost sickly sweet smoke – like sugar on the verge of burning. There’s something almost tobaccoish about it too – like chewy unlit tobacco. As it dries it has this huge throw to it and the tobacco + about-to-burn-sugar.
I’m going to stop right here because it is quite obvious to me that something in this blend is not agreeing with me, with my skin, or with my nose. The scent in the vial was very, very promising, but it’s not going to work for me, unfortunately.
Not upset though! I love finding new things, and sometimes finding out that my skin be crazy is part of it.
